Friendship Park (April 2012)

The format of the Ongoing History of Pittsburgh will be changing slightly for the month of April. The content will be similar to what it is now — categories, overheard conversations and random oddities — but rather than trolling the entire city for treasures I will be limiting myself to Friendship Park. And rather than posting early each morning, I will be posting throughout the day, as interesting opportunities present themselves. The goal will be to capture the spirit of one of the more dynamic places in the East End.

This venture is partly inspired by a project my sister recently completely — filming a short video every day in February — and it is partly an attempt to prepare for a larger project on the way this fall. I’ll describe that as the time gets closer. Until then: Enjoy!
