Ongoing History: A Wandering Cat

A woman standing telling a story outside the East Liberty Presbyterian Church on Friday evening, shortly before seven o’clock, interrupted herself to say, “Look, a cat.” It was stalking through the shrubbery outside the church. “That cat shouldn’t be here,” she said.

“Why not?” her fiancé asked.

“It’s not right,” she said. “We’re really far from any residential area.”

He pointed in the other direction. “There’s a residential area right over there,” he said.

“It’s too far, though,” she said, shaking her head, concerned. “It’s not right.”
