Abandoned Shoes: Where Sandals Fear To Tread

I found this flipped over sandal in Bloomfield on July 17. It’s chewed up along its inner edge and the cork is busted in back, but otherwise there aren’t many clues to decipher.

Based on those two facts alone, though, I imagine a man in the passenger seat of a car who suddenly sticks his foot out the door while his buddy flies down Liberty Avenue. The pavement chews up the tread and the heel before eventually snatching the sandal away.
